Tony Shunnarah

I’ve practiced in numerous circuit courtrooms across the state, as well as, all of the Federal Courts in Alabama, the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals and the Alabama Supreme Court.  I’ve been able to secure settlements of up to $900,000 for my clients. During my career, I have been able to secure over $20,000,000 million in total
settlements for my clients.

I continue to strive daily to enhance my law practice and knowledge in order to continuously grow as a lawyer. I’ve handled cases such as car wreck, trucking wrecks, workers’ compensation claims, product liability injuries, pharmaceutical injuries, mold injuries and dog bite injuries, contract disputes.

I was born in Birmingham, Alabama where I graduated from high school at Vestavia Hills High School. I went on to attend college at the University of Alabama at Birmingham where I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology with a minor in Medical Sociology. During my college education, I was hand picked from a group of over five hundred students to be in the Sociology Honors program at the university, a program with only six available seats. I excelled in the Sociology Honors programs and worked along side multiple Sociology professors in their studies and education.

After receiving my Bachelor’s Degree, I decided to attempt law school instead of continuing with my Sociology background and education. I was fortunate enough to have the option to attend law school at Birmingham School of Law. Birmingham School of Law allowed me to work in the daytime while attending law school in the evenings. During law school, I worked as a case manager at Alexander Shunnarah Trial Attorneys. I worked tirelessly and finally received my law degree in the fall of 2014

After graduating and taking the bar exam, I moved to Mobile, Alabama where I started practicing law with Alexander Shunnarah's firm. I have worked with the firm in south Alabama ever since.

My background in Sociology motivates me to want to help individuals who have been adversely affected by trauma in their life such as a car collision, fall, product injury, work injury or even a tragic death in the family. I try to keep my motivation alive through the everyday conversations and experiences I have with my clients, fellow lawyers and judges throughout the State of Alabama in order to continuously enhance my law practice. I am part of the local Kiwanis club in Spanish Fort, Alabama. We hold fundraisers to help generate money that goes to help the children in the community. I am also a part of the BNI Professional Networking Group where local business owners promote and expand their various businesses in the community.

Eventually, I got married to my wonderful wife and partner. We enjoy fishing, going to live college football games, spending time with friends and family, and attending Mardi Gras events.
